Fourth place created by the RUN Sea Science project

On 7 October 2009, Géraldine Criquet took up her post as Postgraduate Researcher at the IRD Reunion. She is currently working under the supervision of Pascale Chabanet, in coordination with the Marine Reserve of Reunion. Her research theme is studying fishes associated with coral reefs in the South Western Indian Ocean through the analysis of their otoliths. An otolith is a limestone piece that can be found in bony fish. This piece allows us to analyse fish growth and environment (fish black box). The duration of her appointment is 17 months, as it is for the three other postgraduates researchers of the project.
